To understand the full scope of the family’s magazine empire, it is important to return to the beginning. Both sides of the family already held prominence in the editorial world.
Charles Sinclair operated major magazine brands in Austria and Switzerland. When his daughter, Constance, and her husband, Howard, asked for his help building their own magazine empire, Charles eagerly agreed to support them in every way he could.
As revealed in book #2, the empire began with a new weekly magazine. It later evolved into a monthly publication before expanding into two branded magazines. After Lucas ascended to his role in the empire, he restored the original magazines while also introducing two new titles.

The Sinclair Branch
Charles’s sister, Morgana, also became part of the broader editorial legacy through her son, Julian. With assistance from Howard and Constance, Julian built a magazine empire in Australia.
·        Julian passed his magazine brands to his daughter, Elizabeth.
·        Elizabeth now runs Opera House, a prominent magazine brand in Australia.
Charles's brother, Oliver, through his sons Edgar and Philippe. Who also received support from Howard and Constance as they developed their own regional magazine empires.
Edgar and Philippe, Oliver's sons, also received support from Howard and Constance as they developed their own regional magazine empires.
·        Edgar built his empire in Spain and Portugal, later passing it to his son, Angel.
·        Philippe built his empire in Argentina and Brazil, later passing it to his daughter, Lenora.

The McVain Branch
On the McVain side of the family tree, Howard and Constance helped Robert and Benjamin establish their own editorial empires.
·        Robert built his empire in Germany and Amsterdam, then passed it to his son, Cassian.
·        Benjamin built his empire in Japan and China, then passed it to his daughter, Victoria.

The Thorne Branch
Alistar and Xavier Thorne also received assistance from Constance and Howard as they expanded the family’s editorial influence into additional regions.
·        Xavier built his empire in Greece and Italy, later passing it to his son, Viktor.
·        Alistar built his empire in Russia and Korea, later passing it to his son, Orion.

Olivia Klein’s Different Path
Among the cousins, Olivia Klein stands apart. The daughter of Julian Klein and granddaughter of Morgana Sinclair, Olivia chose not to pursue a career in editorial work.
Instead, she supports the arts and remains a strong supporter of her sister Elizabeth’s work.

The Question of Succession
As readers follow the family line, they will see that most of the cousins are connected to the editorial world in some way. This naturally raises an important question: which cousin will rise to the occasion and lead the entirety of the family’s magazine empires if the opportunity arises?
That question will continue to unfold as the series progresses.
